Installing an OEM front sport chin spoiler - Not that hard?
Thanks. Good suggestion but after thinking about how to do this with lumber, the end product will be too big and heavy to be practical for my situation. The width of the ramp, the length of the flat portion at the top and another piece of lumber at the end to indicate when to stop... I probably need a dolly just to move it from apt to out door garage which is two blocks away lol.
Back to lip spoiler install: I read some didn't bother drilling the hole and just use strong double sided tape like scotch 4607. What's your though on that?

Did a dry fit this morning, yeah I can see why others recommended the permanent route. I also can't see how you able to drill the necessary holes without raising the car. I can't get drill underneath car

I recently got back into a G37xS after 3 years counting down the time until my VW CC lease was up.
Today I installed the chin splitter and it completely changed the front end look of the car. Installation was a snap, although I opted to drill everything except the bolt by the wheel well as it would show a hole should I ever need/ want to take it off. About an hour including cutting out the templates. Very happy with the new look and as soon as I'm able to upload I will post the before and after photos. Too newbie I guess.

I also installed the OEM front chin spoiler on my 2010 Sport recently.
The installation was very easy. No need to follow the instruction or use the template the came with it.
1. Wash and clean front bumper
2. Remove two stock bolts (under front bumper, right in front of the tires)
3. Clamp that sexy front chin on, make sure everything is snug
4. Install the two stock bolts back on in step 2.
At this point, the lip is already very tight. But for peace of mind:
5. Drill 4 holes under stock bumper and put on the plastic clips
I skip the double sided tape, and the 2 holes I have to drill on each side of the bumper. Because those would have caused visible damage to my bumper.

I agree on not needing the templates. The chin sits very snug and with the four bolts along the bottom drilled with the chin in place made it very easy. I did pull the tape as it just closed the little gap I had on the drivers side where the 2 bolts would have gone. I do not think it would have been noticeable by anyone but me. Great fit and a very nice edition to the car.
