I think it's way to much trouble to design an electronic feedback induced shifter that has the same feel as a manual that is actually connected via a physical linkage to a transmission.

It's relative to its predecessor.
Exterior Measurements:
Q50 188.3*71.8*56.8
G37 187.9*69.8*57.2
F30 182.5*71.3*56.3
E90 178.2*71.5*55.9
Size-wise:
Q50>G37>F30>E90
The trend:
F30 larger than E90 -> softer, worst handling/chassis dynamic in exchange of larger back seat and trunk.
Q50 larger than G37 -> ? and why? I don't see many complaints that the G37 being too small. It's actually fairly large in class. I'm 6 feet and have plenty of headroom with the sunroof, the design priority doesn't seem to make the car more sporty.

my f30 is smaller in dimensions than my G but it is roomier than my G both front and back seats. and the folding seats that I wished the G could have for years.
I have the f30 xdrive which supposed to have the softest suspension among all the trims. I find it to be a better ride than my g37x, which isn't exactly what u can call a firm sport suspension.
whenever I turn up the sport mode in my f30, it reminds me what I didn't like about the G. the torque off the line and the quick shifts. I actually like the electronic steering. it gives me effortless turns in city with comfort mode and good old steering feel with sport mode. the only thing lacking is the engine and exhaust sound. but the g sedan was quiet as hell anyways unlike the coupé and fx.

^^ No, you didn't get it. I have made no complaints, just to use the numbers showing the trend that the companies are further away from making a better driver's car. That's not too good for us driving enthusiasts, but good if you haul your in-laws around.
Looked up Edmund for interior measurement, not sure why the G37 has more detailed specs than F30. With available numbers, the G37 is roomier than F30 actually despite all the shortcut BMW took.
G37:
FRONT HEAD ROOM 40.5 in. FRONT HIP ROOM 55.1 in.
FRONT LEG ROOM 43.9 in. FRONT SHOULDER ROOM 55.6 in.
REAR HIP ROOM 53.7 in. REAR HEAD ROOM 37.7 in.
REAR LEG ROOM 34.7 in. REAR SHOULDER ROOM 55.2 in.
F30:
FRONT HEAD ROOM 40.3 in. FRONT SHOULDER ROOM 55.1 in.
REAR HEAD ROOM 37.3 in. REAR SHOULDER ROOM 55.1 in.
F30 may FEEL roomier it has lower beltline, and smaller engine, MacPherson fronts, it is wider, and no spear tires, the cheap trunk lid supports may save same space too. But I don't want any of these in my G37. So for me at least, the G37 is a better car, your miles may vary.

Why are people disputing the preference of a manual transmission? Its like when you say "Hey, I like Coke better than Pepsi", and the waitress says "No you don't. You don't know what you like. You THINK you like Coke, but I'm bringing you a Pepsi"
It could be very easy for me to say all people who drive automatics are lazy and not as good drivers, but it's not accurate to stereotype. Jeez, you guys sound like a car salesman trying to push the 7AT model over the MT model because he doesn't want to do a dealer trade.
It's a fact that some people will only buy cars offered in a manual transmission, and I'm one of them. Unfortunately for me, Infiniti is a business and doesn't care to cater to the 1% of enthusiast buyers who choose the 6MT. I'm sure Infiniti won't miss the my lost sale, but I will sure miss Infiniti.

My passengers are way happier in the rear seats of the F30 than the G.
Numbers on paper don't tell the whole story. The rear leg room makes whole lot of difference.
The G was supposed to be hell lot faster than my 245hp 328i on paper.
But not really in reality.

Infiniti has done this before. Back in September of 2006, I leased an 06 G35 coupe for 12 months because the 2008 G37 coupe was launching at the end of my lease term. Back then it worked out perfect: I used supplier discount, Infiniti lease loyalty, and leveraged buying a RWD manual coupe in December (Which don't sell very well in the Midwest).
So because Infiniti crapped their pants at launch by not offering a 6MT or the turbo-4 powertrain like EVERY SINGLE COMPETITOR (BMW, Audi, Cadillac), I will be forced to lease another vehicle when my current sedan needs to be turned in.

^Unless Infiniti changed their rules, you can only extend lease by 3 months. That's what I actually did when I did the 12 month lease on my 2006 coupe; the G37s were not on the lot until November so I extended it by 3 months.

The only F30 I would fathom owning is the 335i 6MT with the M Sport package, anything less than that is for pretenders.

G37's main advantage is at 50+ mph. This is perfectly normal for a high rev NA engine.
