They can eliminate the windows at all if made a tad smaller than that. Why they wanted to design a car with visibility close to an APC is beyond me.

Lots of curves and bends in those body lines. I like it.
Exterior styling is a lot like the M. Infiniti is making the grille design more distinctive and homogenous throughout the line up.
Love the head and tail lights even though the old school JDM Skyline tail lights are phased out.
Aftermarket wheels are a must.
Like the instrument cluster.
Like the center console, particularly the unique asymmetrical trim around the shifter/cup holder.
Don't care for the black plastic mirror bases, but that's what paint is for.

Overall - IMO an improvement over the current sedan. Let's wait to see what's under the hood and what's changing the gears.
Thanks for the post, couldn't agree with you more! Might be time to sell my sedan! haha

For what? Posting pictures I found on the internet that Infiniti published? Not my problem. Not in any way liable for anything. I didn't steal them. They were published.

Looks like photo #1 is the sport model, #4 is the base? (judging by front bumper shape)

Patiently awaiting info on sport/6mt model.
Good catch. I didn't' even notice the difference until you mentioned it. Subtle.

Don't hold back Rochester. Tell us how you really feel.

They mentioned MyG37! That's really funny.

IDK why it's funny, but it is somehow.

Man oh man, Infiniti.ca screwed up big time.

Because they are all from Infiniti? Just look at Audi, BMW, MB etc

It's definitely not Kia Optima like you said

But that interior is a step up, by any measure. Very nice.

Of course, you know what that interior looks like, right? They could be twins.

Besides larger screen, pretty much the same basic design with more curves. It may not have the moving instrument cluster by picture.

It RESEMBLES a Kia optima rear end. Sure it looks IDENTICAL to that M56 rear end sans taillights, but I have never seen one m56 on the road in Ohio.

And for the record I like the way the optima rear end looks, as well as this q50.

Case in point, it is clearly show it is hard to be original anymore with design.

Was being sarcastic towards those who were holding out.
Car looks good, the more I look at it the more I like it.

Seems carsytleblog.com got it from us (and gave credit BTW) and Jalopnik got it from them (and gave credit also). I am not to praise/blame for them, as I got them elsewhere (you know who you are ). But where I got them from was hesitant to post them so I did not mention them by name. I am not hesitant.

I'm holding my thoughts on the new Q50 until I see one in person. Its hard to really get a feel for it until you see it in person, just my opinion.

Final thoughts, sure. But first impressions are fair game. And I have to say, my first impressions are not good ones. As for drive-train, it's a super safe bet that it will be the same 3.7L VVEL until a mid-model refresh. Because that's now NISSAN/Infiniti rolls.

However, I am looking forward to test-driving a 6MT Sport Sedan. No, wait, I forgot... my dealership refuses to stock the 6MT. And we won't know until Monday if it's even offered anymore.
