That just seems to be a rendering...I am sure they would get rid of the ugly sport wheels for the all new wheel design for the "Q50" launch.

That's because it was a yet another repost thread and I simply merged it here rather than deleting it. People tend to get highly offended when a mod deletes a thread that they post that they think is breaking news and it's really been posted and discussed over an over for quite some time. I often just merge them into the existing thread rather than deleting them. You'll see that a number of people reposted the big announcement throughout this thread.

 

Looks like Infiniti has finally caught the LED bug aside from their option near the fog light.

Now let the pissing and moaning begin by the haters about how horribly ugly the LED is, or that they are copying Audi/MB/BMW/Any manufacturer that has ever produced a car with LEDs prior to this, or that model/brand X has better looking LED's, or that it took them too long to adopt it, or that the headlights look too different from the style of the old G, or whatever other reason they have for hating it before even seeing it.

 

No problem. It has already began on Facebook. If they keep this with the purple LED, I think it'll look sweet. However from this image and the way it lights up, it looks like the new A4/A5 except purple and more curve to it.

 

I don't use FaceSpace.

I didn't think that they look purple at all, they look pure white to me. I guess they kind of do at the end of the video. I presumed hat was just to tie in to the little bit of purple they are starting to use with their branding (the liNe below INFINITI). I didn't take it to mean that they would actually look purple on the car except maybe when they are first turned on like OEM ones do.

 

You know, the profile in that video really closely resembles that whale of a rendering posted earlier in this thread. I hope that's not the case.

I have those on my '08.

 

The actual car itself is posted in the thread although camouflaged. You can see the body lines. It's not sleek but I don't think the current body is sleek either.

 

No hating here. I already know I'm going to be jealous of the new design and will have to wait at least another four years for our new car purchase cycle to come around again. I don't give a flip about the renaming, mark my words, the 2014 is going to rock!

 

'Me' can't wait for Jan 14th! Loving the new look of the headlight cluster.
