2014 Sedan
I'm more interested to know what the powertrain is. If it's not a big jump up from the current gen (both engine and trans), then I will stick with what I've got. Bring on the DCT!!!

You do realize that the G Sedan is currently the entry level model in Infiniti? Throwing a DCT in it wouldn't make sense strategically.
It makes perfect sense actually. The G is the sportiest car that Nissan/Infiniti makes besides the GT-R and 370Z. The G is the only car in the Infiniti line-up that makes sense to have DCT. If a cheap Golf GTI can have DSG, why not the G? Having DCT would truly distinguish the G from other's in the class. I am at least hoping it adopts Syncro-Rev from the 370Z for the 6MT.
The direction things are going in the modern powerplant world I would bet real money that the G won't have a big V8.
If anything (and if Infiniti were ballsy enough) it could have a forced induction 6. A new I6 turbo would be bloody awesome and would fit nicely under that long hood (cough, Sam, RB, cough!).
But I doubt that too... a man can dream right?

I believe Infiniti has been thinking about that. After all, if they wanted to directly compete against the best from BMW and Audi, they need a high performance V8 in the IPL line which is simply too weak right now. A turbo charged version of current M's V8 would be awesome.
