The vendor wrote me back with a new $50 listing, but I'm going to pass because of the declared "light scratching". I'd maybe think differently if the photos were good enough to establish a sound opinion, but as it is... pass.

However, this is a good source for a great price, so I'm going to keep trolling his ebay store.

depending on where the light scratching is, it might not matter. you have to sand it down to paint it anyways.

No sanding on the perimeter... that should remain chrome. Painting the entire grille black (or any color) would look real goofy.

Mine was scratched but not noticeable. But again, I had plans to paint over the stock chrome. I have my spare in the garage just sitting there.

Are you going to replicate the midnight? What about outer trim IP and middle gloss black? More of a flush look.

IP? My G is Moonlight White, so chrome trim works well against the white, IMO.

Yeah, I'm thinking the innards gloss black instead of metallic. If you go look at the Sedan grille, you'll see the crease line on the sides and bottom. From that line inward and all the slats. Chrome Logo, and chrome perimeter.

Sorry, I meant MW. IP = Ivory Pearl (Previous Gen). Alright, so you like the chrome perimeter and logo, clean look. Well keep lurking around! But atleast they have it in-stock.

But I wonder if someone does have the outer MW and inner gloss black with a chrome logo.

I saw a picture in a thread some time back of a MW with the headlight lenses in white. It was... unusual. Both appealing and unappealing at the same time. Very Corvette-ish.
