Just got 2012 G37X, have numeros problem

Hi,

Just two weeks ego I got my G37X white with Navigation. The car is amazing !!!! It is a replacement for my Nissan Altima 2008, so the difference is huge.
There are few problems with a car.
1. Memory seats buttons seams out of order. I can't save a position of my seats. No matter , how long I tried to press the button, it is not responding with an "save mode activated" light.
2. When I start a car on complete cold engine, for a first 10-20 seconds, the noise of the engine is so loud that you would think a car does not have exost pipes at all(or they are detached somehow). The loud noice disappears and engine become quiet as it suppose to be after 20 seconds. When I start engine on "hot" - there is no loud noise at all. I understand, an engine is suppose to be more loud when you just start it, but not that much as I experiencing.
3. Car is burning 2 times more gasoline then I expecting. I was expecting to get somewhere around 22-24 miles/gallon with mostly highway driving. Instead, I got 13 miles/gallon. I calculated it as I know exactly how much gasoline I burned and how much miles I covered (car just have 400 miles on odometer)The same number shows on the "fuel economy screen"
4. Every time when I stop the car and go outside, I can smell the breaks pads burning. I was even suspecting that this is a reason why I burn more gasoline - some how breaks not fully released. However, I did a simple test: change shift to neutral while driving on a horizontal road - the car was running pretty far and stopped normally, as I would expect.

Anyway, I am going to a Infiniti service tomorrow. Will let you know what is going on with my car.

Alex.

1. if it's not user error, then take it back to the dealer. easy fix.
2. normal
3. normal. especially before break in period. I have 17k miles and i drive mix city/hwy and the most I get is 19mpg.
4. normal. brakes, and everything is still breaking in.

nothing to worry about.

Sounds all normal to me lol...even the memory seats buttons. Did you refer to the manual and the follow the directions exactly or did you do it using your intuition?

With the exception of number one, the other items seem normal. Saving the memory seats should be easy: get the seats in position; press and release the save button; press and release the seat number button. You can also tie the seat number position to the remotes. Maybe that is where you are getting tripped up. But would recommend reading the manual, if you have not yet had the chance.

For #3, you live in Brooklyn. So am I. 13mpg in break in period sounds normal here. I have 27k on my G and I get around 14-17MPG depends on how much "highway" I get onto. Most of the time I average about 16MPG. ~250 miles per tank.

Driving in Brooklyn during break in period and get 13 mpg is not that bad. Wait until you drive to Manhattan. I sometimes get single digit mpg there. On the other hand, when I make longer trips on highway, I reached more than 27 mpg. After 20,000+ miles, I average 15.7 mpg overall.

1. Are you in park?
2. Normal, the engine just is warming up. You can skip the louder noise it by taking it out of park.
3. It's Awd and a V6. When I first got my car, I was getting 11 and it's Rwd. Still get around 14 the way I drive.
4. It will go away.

Service advisor "So, whats wrong with your car again?'' lol
