Just picked up my 2013 G37 last night. Dealer gunmetal powder coated stock 17 rims included at no charge. Only additional mod will be tint, what else does it really need? I was first drawn to the G37 by my father in law, of all people, who was looking for his mid life crisis car. He looked at all of the stand bys, corvette, mustang, 328i, etc, and found the G fit his need to haul ***, but still be a sensible grandpa. Drove his a few times on trips to visit in the past couple of years and I was impressed. My 08 A4 was really beginning to show its age (and lack of features) and I started my search. I looked at the 2013 A4, 328i, 335i, etc-same old story. Went and got reacquainted with the G and it more than held its own of course. This is one sweet car, and as you all know here, this thing simply smokes the A4. I work with a bunch of Audi and Bimmer fans, so there is a certain aspect of being a "part of the club" by owning one of the German sports sedans. But I honestly was tired of the "Audi owner experience" which consists of $100 oil changes, windshield wiper blades that have to be replaced with Audi ones, torque steer, front wheel drive wheel spin, adding oil every 3 months or so, etc...
My last car, prior to the A4, was a bare bones stripped 08 Altima that had smart key, push button start, iPod interface, etc and frankly the A4 consistently left me disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it was a solid, well made car that was a blast to drive, but left a lot to be desired. Thoroughly impressed with the G37.
