^ Very nice. The wife wants a new "SUV" and I've been trying to get her to look at a QX50 but she wants a Jeep. I don't see myself winning this one.

Had a last minute photoshoot set up with Mike M. last Sunday morning. Both of these locations we only had short amount of time at. If only security wasn't so tight there.

Not trying to make the best of anything, this is what I WANTED for MY car. I'm sure it does look strange to someone who has never seen it before. The tire doesn't need to be on the lip of the wheel that doesn't make sense. The tire is in the bead seat of the wheel. Yes it looks the same on the inside, it has to.

That said, JohnnyD has camera skills. Can't deny that.

Basically, it's a look that I like, along wit many others. This kind of stuff is fairly popular actually. I understand you don't care for it as you've said time and time again. And that's ok, I don't want to change your opinion.

I'm just glad I wasn't eating anything at the time or I probably would have had to get a new computer.
No need to bite your tongue and try to be nice, this is the internet after all. Where all come to share their opinions.

Race team? These aren't race cars. I'm sure they wouldn't recommend a huge subwoofer in the trunk either. But are you going to go talk down on those who like to add high end car audio to their "sports" sedan. But on that note, I guess you've never heard of the motorsport called drifting? Stretched tires is very popular in this motorsport. Some would argue that is where tire stretching originated..... It spread to anyone trying to fit aggressive wheels on their car. Part of the "stance" movement that is going on now. Stretched tires and aggressive fitment is bigger than you would care to admit. There's a thread right here on the forum in the wheel section with over 2,000 replies and 143 pages of cars similar to mine. I can't believe there are still people out there who don't know what it is...

Classic internet joke about spitting your food all over the screen and keyboard lol....

The same ideology can be applied to people who have a meaty setup, huge 305's and a 10.5'' wheel. Then, drive the car in bumper to bumper traffic to work and back. And, do nothing else motorsports related.
Thanks for that, a perfect example actually. I like the way the wheels look flush with the body and the aggressive stance. I didn't destroy my car in doing so and can easily return to stock with no evidence of this happening. I love a meaty setup as well, but can't help but laugh at the thought of spending all of that money on 305s just to sit in traffic haha. I get it though.

I'm running a 275 rear with absolutely no use for it other than I like the LOOK.
My fitment isn't fender-in-lip. With a full car or going over big bumps/driveways the wheel tucks nicely into the quarter panel without touching it. Which is the result of some work my buddy/tech put in to give me the exact look I wanted without causing any damage to the body/wheel in any case.

Edit - this is a picture thread

The stretched/stance look does not sit well with everyone. If you don't like it, that's probably the reason you don't have that kind of look on your car. Doesn't mean someone else can't do it or that you should look down on it. Personally I am not a fan of that look either, but I can appreciate the time and effort that other people spend in making their car that way.

Everyone has different taste and style. Why wear Jordan's if you don't ball? Why wear Sperry's if you don't have a boat?

Why drive a G37 if you're not a soccer mom?

I actually love the look, but don't run it on mine, as mine is a DD and Houston streets would eat me alive. I had an aggressive setup on my 04 sedan and the constant fear of watching the road for any type of bumps got super tiring and stressful.

But like I said, I absolutely love that look JohnnyD!
