I love his new rims. But then, I had better like them, LOL. Fitment looks great in those pics, which isn't an easy thing to accomplish with Vossen offsets.

The headlights are interesting considering how blacked out the car is. Sames goes for his mirror caps, considering the heavy black window tint. But those door handles, no way. It's a freaking door handle... why would you want to call attention to it?

 

The Lexus "Crafted Line" models also gets the same treatment with obsidian black door handles and mirrors on their ultra white vehicles with the F-Sport package

Are you replacing your diff? I read a few comments back where you mentioned putting in the rear gears from the 6MT in your car, and I'm guessing by "cut the bushings out" you're referring to the rear diff frame bushings.

Which ones did you go with and why?

You know, you need a Build Thread for this stuff. I'd like to see what you're up to.

 

Wow you dropped your rear diff on jack stands? I swear that seems impossible. The rear diff is nearly 100lbs and having the car on jack stands still barely gives you any room under the car to work.

I installed my high flow cats and cat-back exhaust on jack stands which wasnt too bad..

While i was under there i was imagining dropping the diff but it didn't seem like a easy task.

Did you have a helper?

Yes, I replaced the diff using the diff out of a 2008 g37 coupe AT. I thought about a build thread but I'm not doing anything big (I don't think so I didn't really want to start a build thread and waste space haha I'm doing a write up on it though to help out people. I did cut the subframe bushing but it still wouldn't come out with a hammer so I welded up a diff pulley from 1in metal tubing. A

I went with Whiteline poly bushings because the solid bushings have zero forgiveness lol didn't want to have a lot of vibration or jerks when shifting into drive or reverse.


My car is a 2012 journey. I did not have a helper. Just me and my jack lol it definitely was not an easy task. Having a creeper definitely helped though. And doing it on jack stands was not fun at all lol. I'm also a pretty big person so room was limited. Jack stands are half way from being maxed out so I had enough room to get it done. I did my test pipes on my 370z using a lift and it was still a bitch. So I can only imagine it on jack stands.

Are you using custom seat rails or did you just buy them? Same as the coup or what?

 

NIce ride. I actually like the black door handles. Headlights are different but all in all you have a great looking ride.

 

Little updates on my sedan with the dual halos on!

 

I am using Bride rails. I tried to use 370z and G37 coupe Bride rails but they didn't fit so I had to order the rails from Japan which took 3 or 4 weeks to get. The Bride part numbers for the sedan are N109RO and N110RO.

 

Props to you for doing this work yourself! I've dropped my tranny out with the car up on jack-stands before, and it wasn't all that difficult, but getting it back in without an extra set of hands was a real chore!


I'm curious about this mod as well. What's the ratio in the new diff housing?

 

So I spent the last several weekends working on the G and also getting some work done. One of the recent mods was having Xpel painted PPF black roof film applied. This is a brand new product that was just released at SEMA in November and my car was the first one my installer had done (besides his own). As opposed to vinyl film, the PPF film is actually a painted surface so once installed it looks just like you've had it painted, but it's still removable if I don't like it. Here are a few before and after pics.

 

Also just recently attended the IFO Show in Las Vegas with a few guys from my crew. We had 7 cars make the drive and we ended up taking home 7 trophies, including Best Infiniti, Best of Show and Best Club! And I took home the trophy for Best Luxury, so it was a great weekend for all of us.
