Got My G37XS back from the shop.. couple questions

after driving through a hail storm i got by car back finally after 6 weeks. i got a new hood, roof and trunk installed along with a brand new paint job that was all paid by the insurance company. everything is great the car looks and feels brand new just like when i drove it off the lot. my only question is this. since the body shop had to remove the battery and unhook a lot of plugs one thing i noticed is that my automatic windows will roll down without holding the button down but they wont go up automatically anymore i have to hold the button the whole time to bring them up. the body shop and dealer said the computer has to be re programmed. anyone experience this or know of anything i should look out for when removing the battery and having everything unplugged?

You need to reset the window position memory by closing all of the windows first and then holding the driver's window switch in the 'close' position for about 10 seconds. Auto-down and up should then work like normal.

also i don't know if it is me but i feel like my drivers window is rolling up and down a tad slower than my passenger window. maybe im wrong but i feel like for some reason my windows use to fly up and down and then after going to the auto body shop to reinstall the windows the drivers seems to be rolling up and down a little bit slower. what do you think? should they all roll up at the same time/speed or not really? would it even be possible to reinstall the windows and have them go up and down slower?

Sounds like your battery might be weak - that would explain all of the windows being slow. Otherwise, it could be super cold where you're at and the grease in the wondow rails has turned to rock.

It's definitely not the cold. It's not cold here yet. The battery was removed for 6 weeks I guess so do you think that has anything to do with it? If I keep driving the car do you think the battery will regain its juice because it's been sitting idle for so long?

I mean the windows are rolling up and they are not terribly slow. I just noticed that my drivers side window maybe just rolling up a little slower. Maybe it's just me though. If you roll both front windows down and the hold the buttons up to roll the widows back up should they close at the same exact time? My passengers window seems to be closing a tad bit first when holding both windows buttons up to close them?

No, not neccesarily....
Check the juice on your battery, but in reality my passenger window closes slightly quicker then my driver.

How do I check the juice in my battery? So your saying your windows also roll up at different speeds and one is quicker than the other?

I'd take it back to the body shop and let them figure it out.

Keep in mind, you open/close the driver window more than any other window in the car. If a window motor/regulator will go out, or start to go out, it'll start with that one. Maybe the window is binding up as it's going up or down.
