Sedan 6MT Guys only........

What is your real world mileage or computer mileage? Also, gesstimate your city/highway.

If you've done any long trips, what has it been?

Normal driving (which I consider to be keeping up with traffic and not passing everyone), I get 19/26
I average 22mph city and 63mph hwy.
I always use premium 91 or better.
Roads in my region of southern Ontario are not very hilly.

I honestly have not noticed any difference compare to the 07X I drove 4 years.

i'm around 19-20mpg (US) 90% city. ~28mpg on the hwy. range of 340mi in the city, 450+mi on the hwy. works for me. i often skip shifts around town, and use overdrive gearing a lot.

My mileage is 17mpg pretty stable. I like to have a little fun and love the engine at 4-5k.

I think I'm at about 16/23. Once on a long trip I got about 27mpg.

Talking

Upper teens in the city (16-19), mid to upper twenties (25-28) on the highway...

It all depends on how I drive it... if I pay attention to my foot, I do a helluva lot better!

I can get about 25 to 26 mpg on the highway, but I also have some stuff done to it and am rolling on some 20s with 255/285, so for me to be able to get the stated 25 mpg from the factory it is great. I would imagine if I stuck with the 18s that it came with I could easily pull in 28 or so mpg. That's assuming 70 mph btw, if I could go 65 I would certainly get closer to that 28.... for me my driving is purely city. I live a mile from work and have to go through 2 stop lights

My longest trip was to Chicago and we averaged about 23/24 mpg keeping a steady 75/80 mph. Overall it was very comfortable and drove well, not as nice as my M did...that was an awesome car to drive to Alabama! A few of us will be driving our cars to ZDayZ later this year and to FL.

I agree with Micron, I can get great mileage if I pay attention to my speed. But that's half the fun, plus the growl over 3k+ makes it tough to drive assertively. Just rolled 5,000 miles last night and loving it!

Also 19-20mpg in mixed driving. Haven't taken a trip longer than 2 hours so I can't comment on pure highway mileage.

What they really should of done was geared 6th taller. Similar to 7th gear ratio in the 7at. This is what you get with a close ratio trans though.

^ The 7AT is .77:1 in 7th gear and the 6MT is .79:1 in 6th gear. I think a couple miles per hour can make up for the difference.

Isn't the final drive different on the AT's?

7AT top gear final ratio: 3.3570 * .7710 = 2.5882
6mt top gear final ratio: 3.6920 * .7949 = 2.9348

.3466 difference between the two. If i'm calculating correctly, that's a ~350 rpm/1000 rpm difference.

My mistake. You are correct, it's a ~6mph diff at 2000rpm
