Losing power on 1st and 2nd shifts?
Hi all,
I have a 2010 g37xs sedan (automatic) and recently had a CEL so i brought in my car to the dealership to have it serviced. They ran some test and did some updates like nav and engine oil and all that good stuff.
But now im noticing that whenever i drive and the gears shift usually 1st and 2nd it feels like i completely lose all power for a split second and the car bogs pretty badly. I can feel it like i hit a little bump in the road. If i drive fast i dont notice it as much. but when driving normally I definitely notice it
I am not saying its a hard shift like a jolt but more of a bog and lost of power.
If im correct I remember reading maybe this happened to others when they had the engine reprogrammed?
All input will be very helpful cuz i dont want to take the car back to the dealership unless i really have to
THANK YOU!

that's exactly it -- it's from nissan's reprogram. you're missing the "pushing forward" feeling that you used to get between shifts during WOT, right? in an attempt to "refine" the driving feel of the newer 7AT (complying to the 'these transmissions shift too harshly' complaints), nissan programmed the ecu to shift like, well...what you're describing.
