Supersonic Defroster

I hate to start a thread for selfish purposes, but I am really curious...

I recently purchased a 2010 G37xS Sedan. The past 2 mornings are the first few cool mornings I have driven the car. It was 43 yesterday morning, 46 this morning and both mornings the car was covered with dew. I noticed on both mornings when I turned the defroster on that it warmed up VERY quickly. I didn't time it, but I would guess that it was warm within 60 seconds. I have never had a car that heated up so quickly.

Does anyone know if there is some sort of pre-heater that is doing this? I find it hard to believe that the coolant system is heating up that quickly. Or is that what is happening?

Either way it is NICE and I LIKE it!

ya, wait until you get rain. if it's hard enough, you will start to see so much steam coming from your grill you think you have a steamboat.

Thanks. I have already noticed how much heat the engine throws, but I was still amazed at how fast I had heat coming out of the vents.

all very true -- the vq37vhr's run on the "too warm" side. it's definitely a plus during the colder seasons, but wait until it's summer lol oh well...

Just wait until temps are below freezing...it will take almost 2minutes to get warm
It's the seats that heat a little too slow.

Maybe I should have said "ultrasonic".
