They made 350 of the '11 Sedans. 200 coupes and 200 verts, so by comparison, they're making more in '12. Which kinda negates the limited'ness of it, no?

Either way... I got my RED seats, which is why I bought the car. '12 owners can have their black... ho-hum.

no brain to buy this now.
2013 model will be a complete re-design. I don't see any reason to spend so much to buy a car that will be dated soon.

Dated? How much change do you think there will be? Have you ever owned a "first edition" car of any make?

I'm not a mechanic, but my brother is, and I was a steam propulsion engineer.

Mechanical Engineers are smart, but engineering is an exact science and they historically get stuff wrong and then figure it out later.

To quote the fella from "get smart"... "missed it by THAT much". You'd be well advised to wait at least 2 years after a redesign to purchase.

Just my $.02

^...but sometimes they get it right the first time too.
I bought an 07 G35x (in 07). I drove it 4 years and never had any major problems. Infiniti replaced the front grille (easily chipped) and the interior door switch bezels (which they changed for 08's). From what I'v been reading on here and Driver for the past 5 years, the 5 speed auto is also preferred, my many, over the 7 speed auto.
My new 11S occasionally has a slight crackling noise coming from the dash. Annoying with out ambient noises but if I have music playing I don't hear it at all. I will still get them to check it out when I go for my first oil change.
It's luck of the draw.

All that aside, I don't particularly think much of this 'Limited Edition'. It simply isn't unique enough. For <$2k I can turn mine into a L.E., sans the 'special seats'

So they powder coated the anniversary wheels, added a black grill and the aerodynamic package and called it a special edition; great move Infiniti.

Oh, and it's only offered with an Auto transmission, brilliant.

Everyone keeps talking about how much the '12 is like the '11, but they are almost both the exact as the '10 Anniversary Edition. The '11 LE is the same the '10 Anniversary except it's the Malbec Black instead of the Graphite Shadow exterior.

I bought the '10 Anniversary and was sold on the red seats and because they said only 300 were being made worldwide, yet the '11 came out and is the same car so suddenly these cars are not as "Limited" as I was hoping.

Was the '10 Anniversary Edition available in sedan? I dont remember seeing any up for sale when I was looking, found a few coupes though. Funny thing is I was never sold on the red seats until I saw the '11 LE in person.

I agree, its not as limited as one would hope. But the '10 and '11 can at least be distinguished by us G fanatics based on exterior color. I know that the first thing I look for now is red seats!

The '12 LE could just be a black on black car someone bought and put black wheels on. BTW, the wheels are powercoated black? I might be wrong, but I believe the '11LE wheels are hyper-silver.......part of the process for doing a true hyper-silver is a black base layer. So in essence they are still doing the black base layer and then stopping the process. Infiniti probably saves money with a "new" wheel design.

Just let your wheels get dirty. That's all it looks like.

Don't care for it. And agree with other people that there is nothing special about this limited edition. The Anniversary edition is more L.E. than this, with red interior and malbec black paint. Also this one looks like its been photoshopped to make it look like it has a drop.

...and even the Malbec black is an option here in Canada for the 2011's so it's not that rare either.
....they PS quite often. It's deceiving and annoying.

...and its now an official color option for 2012 here in the US as well. Youd think they could at least come up with a new "limited" edition color for the 2012 LE, but apparently not.

Maybe they are just using leftover parts because 2013 wont be able to use them

Only thing legit about this is the interior/exterior color. They got lazy on this LE...

2013 model is not getting a redesign, the 2014 model is which is being released in 2013
