Carputer install

Figured I would share some love with you guys since Im normally on driver. Let me know what you guys think!

So for a few weeks I have been working on a carputer setup for the car. Finally after everything came in and some parts got installed today its all up and running. Still need to work on the resoluton stuff, but it is working extremely well! Let me know what you guys think! Sorry ahead of time for the phone pics. I will get some nice ones done soon. Screen quality is much better than it looks.

Details on System:
Mac Mini (flame suit ready)
Running OSX and Windows 7
Carnetix 2140 power supply

Soon enough I'm going to put Orisis on it too so I can monitor the car too.

Bad Teacher

Still need to clean up a bit.

Where the mini will sit.

Ofcourse to match the car!

Nice setup but not digging the mouse. You should get the ones where it is flushed in the middle of seat heaters. I've seen another member having it and it looks very nice.

Of course you could go with one of the Apple Trackpads. They work great. Not sure if there would be any Bluetooth interference having to separate systems though. But definitely looks nice.

Very Cool! BTW, how did you tap power for the MacMini or did you use a power invertor?

Thanks Man!! It was powered by a Carnetix 2140. It takes the 12 volts from the battery and converts it to 18.5 volts for the Mac.

Second this, or go with one of those Griffin PowerMates. Either way, glad to see a Mac in a G.
