On a tangent, one can also theoretically bore a hole in their AT/rear vent-equipped console so it blows some cold air into the storage area. (i.e. instant makeshift "cold box" for drinks). Last i checked, it's a straight-through design.

This would, of course, minimize the air coming out of the rear vents.

 

What's more important, the people in the back, or cold bee....ahem...soda?

Besides, if the people in the back get warm....viola...cold drinks!
