I am not asking for it to survive an RGP attach my friend. Just a pebble tossed at it at 60 mph or less. I don't think that is asking for too much in an affordable safety glass.

Like I said, the technology exist, but how much are you willing to pay for it?

So if they do sell a G37 fully packaged with Polycarbonate windshield for 65k, are you willing to pay for it?

You sure about that price? I thought it would be at least $76,428 with that glass.
Come on now, be reasonable. If you are happy with safety class which chips, then just keep on driving down the road and deal with your chips and pockmarks after a couple of years with the car.

I have a small chip in the lower center part of my windshield.

I do not see how the angle would make it more susceptible to them though. A rock traveling through the air will hit the windshield at a random angle not a consistent one.

The angle of the windshield would be much more important for wind resistance I would think.
