shark fin thing on the roof of the car.

can someone tell me how i can remove the shark fin looking thing on the roof of the car? i want to put vinyl overlay on top of the roof.

That is your GPS antenna. I think it would be better to make a cutout for it.

Thats the antenna... I don't think its meant to be removed. I'm sure there is a way to do it, but putting it back on will be annoying. If you can't figure it out without help (like it doesn't just screw off or pop off) you may want someone professional to do.

EDIT: Dejan beat me to it, lol. But yah, I wouldn't mess with it

The antenna is for your xm radio not gps.

If you remove it you'll have a hole and wires sticking out of it.

He probably only wants to remove it temporarily to ease installation.

OP, you can access the mounts underneath it by pulling back the headliner.
