I am an Americain living and working in Saudi Arabia. If you want to save on GAS move here. It costs me about $5 to fill the tank with high octane fuel.

LOL EOD505, same here (Kuwait) - gas is cheaper than water. On more serious note, how you drive it will have far bigger effect than any possible mod. Example - due to a very weird, once-in-a-lifetime set of circumstances (Iraqi invasion of Kuwait), I had to drive a full loaded Mitsubishi Galant Sedan 700+ km on a single tank of gas. When I drove it the way I usually drive (mix of city/highway), tank would be empty at 400-425km - and that was with only me in the car. It's amazing what you can do when you have no other choice.

A straight forward answer:
Intake, Cat Back exhaust, (and / or HFC), Grounding kit. Lighter wheels.
best of it all is keep it clean all the time
Clean car means smooth, better aerodynamics.

Yep. Kinda makes you wonder why it costs 4+ dollars a gallon here... NO reason for it, aside from taxes, levies, etc, etc.

Meanie, join and post on truedelta.com It will be easier for all to review. I find it quite enlightening to review the various vehicles there. We all would find that our mileage isn't all that bad compared to other vehicles.

India, China, speculators, and middle eastern governments subsidizing the cost of gas over there are why gas is so expensive here compared to the middle east. Taxes are a constant percentage of the overall price so they're not going to impact the cost that much.

I'm paying close to $7/gallon for premium gas right now.

Assuming $5/gallon gas, in California total taxes would only be about $0.50 -$0.60 a gallon; so only about 10% of the total cost. Demand and speculators are the main reason for high gas prices.

Geez... you must be somewhere in Europe. Like England, maybe? That would explain your superior attitude.
