G Sedan Sales Up 21% this year

According to latest press release, in the 1st 4 months of the year the G Sedan has sold 21% more units than the 1st 4 months of 2010.

Further, from Jan 1 - April 30, 2011, G Sedans comprise 43% of all Infiniti sales, compared to 40% over the same period last year.

I can only assume the G25 sedan is responsible for some of the increase, but it's clear that the G Sedan is Infiniti's bread and butter.

The near-luxury/entry-level sport sedan market is one of the most competitive in the industry. The G Sedan competes against the Audi A4, the Cadillac CTS, the BMW 3-series, the Mercedes C-Class, the Lexus IS350, the Acura TL, etc.

Four years into the current body style, it's encouraging that the public still sees the value of the G Sedan compared to the competition.

Better if it was more of a secret. Don't want to see myself coming and going.

when i was looking at a car there was one unmovable point i wanted....awd and as much of a honda guy as i am, they just dont have anything to offer besides that new ugly thing... honda is falling behind the other because it refuses to make a RWD car or make awd versions of its cars. also in terms of HP they are lacking compared to the others....sorry honda but i love my G!

The front end is exactly one of the reasons I am part of that stat. I looked at maximas and some other luxury brands but that front end with the lip on it sold me the first time I saw the car in person.

Oh don't even get started on the horrible redesign on the TL! I loved my '05. That style should end up a classic. Then they totally jacked it! What a dam shame.

Both the coupe and sedan G's look awesome. I wouldn't put too much credence in the G25 adding to those figures except that it is better priced for more buyers. The car's looks just sell themselves.

Yes -the old TL was a great looking car. Very comfortable too. I chose a 2004 G35 over a 2004 TL, but it was very close.
