Why not compare an SS Convertible with a G37 sedan ? I'm not doing some professional benchmarking .. As a driver and enthusiast, these comparisons are common. Under 2500 the SS still drives like crap - > Difference between a 0-60 of 4.9(camaro) and 5.3 (g37)is only marginal. Also remember the 4.9 was done under controlled conditions by a professional who will invariably be faster than me , test driving a car on the street with no objective measurement other than perceived speed.
Camaro SS under 2500 rpm absolutely is a joke. It does not feel fast , the throttle not responsive by any means (for the category of the car it is). It has good mid - high end torque. You can hear the V8 growl starting around 3000 rpm all the way to redline.
If you dont believe me test drive one and post the results yourself.

Canada population = 30 million
US population = 300 million
I'm no scientist, but the higher the supply the lower the cost. But what do I know, I'm just a caveman...
