if you think the g25 is as fast as your g37, you're not driving your g37 properly

305 hp for the new V6 and 412 for the new V8. I drove the 2011 GT, because that 412 hp almost had me convinced to buy one... I wasn't impressed with the power or the fit/finish.

A coworker has the V6 Camaro. Meh.
It's the ugly retro interiors that turn me off. Especially the Camaro, those gauge pods are UGLY.

I saw a show about this on TV (60 minutes style). Stuff costs more here because the cost of distribution/shipping to Canada is more to companies. I am guessing taxes on imports, etc.. plays a big factor.

In the end we're still pissed about it

I had a G25 for a day. It was a very noticeable difference. Driving that made me appreciate my 37 even more.

Really?? I drove a 2011 GT and it's quite a bit stronger than our Gs, or are you not impressed by your Gs power either?

I was DEFINITELY impressed with the 2011 GT's power.

was definitely NOT impressed by the ugly interior.

There are a millnion excuses that they will give you. In the end it comes down to Canadians are used to historically paying higher prices so there's no incentive for manufacturers to lower them.

I like the leather better than our thin Gs leather but Ford still needs to sweat the details a bit more to get in class w/ the Gs interior for sure. Using interior chrome is definitely dated and feels cheap.

The leather is definitely better but it doesn't make up for the rest of the interior.

Honestly, the more cars I drive (friends's ES 350, Camaro SS , Mustang GT), the more I am convinced that the G37 reigns supreme. It has the right mix of power, handling and luxury. The Camaro SS with 400+ horses, was accelerating equal to or very marginally better than the G at RPM over 2500. Under 2500 the SS was like a Ford Focus. The V8 sounded burly though!

When I got my first real car - I thought it( 2001 BMW 325i steptronic/moonroof/Xenon ) was the ultimate. The 2010 G37 sedan (I paid $1500 more than the bimmer - after 10 years!) has almost every option and drives phenomenally better with lower maintenance worries...

Good job Infiniti... More power to all the G enthusiasts here..

So let me get this straight, the Camaro SS accelerates like a Ford Focus under 2500 RPM and equally or very marginally better than a G above 2500 RPM? Either you had a lemon Camaro or you letting your fanboyhood get the better of you. The Camaro accelerates to 60 mph almost a full second quicker than the G.

That being said I will agree that the G offers a great balance of performance and luxury at a reasonable price.

Most people claim that the Mustang GT's reported 412 hp is underrated. Many performance tests support this claim. Personally, I was very impressed with it's power and handling. I will agree that the fit/finish and overall impression of quality of the interior left me wanting more.
