Noob question

Just joined. Going to buy a G37 in the next few weeks. I tried to find the answer (I promise I searched) for about an hour. I like the appearance/rims of the G37XS, but just don't fit in the sport seats. So, I'm going to do the G37X but hate the 17" rims. I understand there is a "tire package" that gives you 18" rims with all 4 tires being equal sized so you can rotate them.

My questions are this.

1) Do I need to find a car at a dealership with this "tire package" or can I find a "normal" G37X that I like and then get the dealership to upgrade the rims? If so, how much might this cost? Is the advantage to 4 of the same tire the ability to rotate (front to back) and wear more evenly, and replace them less often?

If I go this route, would I still need a separate pair of winter tires (same rims) or would the G37X with the upgraded package handle decently in winter?

2) Would you recommend the above route, or using the standard OEM rims (17") for winter and buying a larger set for summer? The issue with this, for me, is that while I know what "looks nice" I just don't understand the tire pressure reseting, tire balancing, etc that goes with this option.

Anyone offer any words of wisdom or ideas?

First off if you are buying an "X" you are getting all season tires, will you need snow tires all depends on where you drive.

IMO I would just buy the 17" wheels add snows to them and buy a good set for the summer. The wheel and tire package is not a great deal, besides keep in mind they are 18" wheels.

And you have to get the Interior Accent package in order to get the Wheel and Tire package. So if you aren't a fan of the fake wood look, you're out of luck.

There's much nicer wheels out there than any of the current Infiniti sedan factory wheels. The Coupe wheels are nice though, I'd go over to tirerack.com and look around, they have a fit feature that allows you to see what they'd look like on your car too.
