Yeah but there are no hybrid competitors to the G. However, the M hybrid competes against the Lexus GS450h and the upcoming BMW 5 Series Active Hybrid.

Exactly why a G hybrid would have been major bank for Nissan.
The only possible competition would be the Volt. Yuck.
i wouldn't say the accord or camry is a direct comparison to the G, but in terms of midsize sedans, those 2 offer hybrids. for someone looking for a hybrid but interested in the size of a G, they would probably go for them.

I don't think people shopping for Gs/3 Series/IS/A4/C Class are interested in hybrids. Otheriwse manufacturers would have released hybrids for them instead of the GS and 5 Series. I think becuase hybrids would make the G and its competitors too expensive, but they fit in to the price range of the M and its competitors.
Yeah, I really would not like to see a G Hybrid. I would rather save the Hybrid for a different model, perhaps the EX or even in the FX- which could be interesting...
Let Infiniti refine their hybrid engines with the M first and then bring them to the G with some experience to refine them further... we win in the end
