Parking Curb

I was pulling into a spot this morning in a parking garage at work, and was a little overtired. I pulled up a little too much and heard a scuff when pulling in. Parked the car...then got out and saw the bottom of the car under the front bumper is sitting on the curb. Did I do any damage? Should I reverse a certain way when I leave work?

Hopefully it didnt damage the front of the bumber and only got the underside of it. Your best bet is to back out VERY slowly, stop and get out to see how bad the damage is and make your determination then. Ive done it once and nothing really happened.

was it the bumper that scraped or the plastic that sticks down just behind the bumper? If that scraped it doesn't really matter and realistically its not bad if the bottom of the bumper did either.

I hope it doesn't do much damage. I scrape that plastic thing a lot on parking lot stops and curbs.

If it's a standard cement tire curb (about 5" tall) and your Gs not lowered you probably just rubbed the plastic rib that runs along the underskirt. If you actually heard metal scraping that's a different matter, but I doubt you did.

Exactly what I was thinking. You probably scraped the rubber/plastic under your front chin.
