Many G37s here in Hampton Roads VA as well. Coupes, sedans, and a few verts running around here. I see as many G's as I do 3-Series BMWs.

I think the G25 will increase the value of the G37.....but that's just my opinion and is based on absolutely nothing

As long as they don't use a QR25 motor I don't care!

I totally agree with your statement! They now have 5 different trim models in the sentra alone!

I agree with you 100% on everything you said; however, the Maxima seems to have a loyal fan base that is willing to pay $35k, which boggles my mind.

I know of a guy who would not spend a little extra for an Infiniti, but was more than willing to drop $30k on a Maxima.

If the G25 changes the perception of anything, it will change peoples perception of the G37 to be more upscale. Just like before I got my Altima, I would see an Altima coming and would see oh its another 2.5S and thought nothing of it. But because the 3.5SE was much more rare, every time I saw one, I thought of it as a much more upscale car because I knew it had the V6 and so on, and thats what I got. It will be the same for most people with the G37.

Now G37 owners won't be so eager to debadge their trunks. To me if I see a G thats debadged after the G25 has hit the market, I will assume its a G25.

Also, there is a chance that Infiniti will probably still sell MORE G37's versus 335i's and and IS350's due to the fact that they have had such success selling it in V6 form. I would imagine that the majority of G's sold are the G37 Journey and that model still remains at the same price. Pretty much this is a Win Win situation for Infiniti.

Also with every G sold, there is more chance of that owner stepping up to an M after that car. So more Gs sold equals more M's sold in the future.

I have a hunch that the G25 won't do well

People buy the G37 because it is an under-appreciated car that, in performance, surpasses cars that cost more. The G25 will be under-appreciated and WON'T surpass cars that cost more. Who wants that?

Priced for youth, but, not a coupe.
Dilution of the brand... Cadillac Cimarron comes to mind as well as the masses of common three series BMW's clogging the So Cal roads. Guess Infiniti wanted some of that 328 -330 business?

The same people that buy the IS250 and are happy just driving a Lexus.

This car will blow G37 sales out of the water...wait and see. Just like M35 sales blow away M45 sales, etc.

oh i miss hampton roads, VA. i went to william & mary, but i went to newport blues a lot. what i dont miss is all that humidity - the burg is a swamp!

as far as the G25 sedan, as long as they dont make a G25 coupe, then im okay with this. what infiniti should do is go upmarket, b/c they need a 7-series, S-class fighter. i dont want the Q56 as the flagship - it's like a well-heeled fat girl who likes to wear high-end clothing.

I really don't care if the G25 crowds the road. Whenever I pull up next to one, we'll both know what's up.

The car looks the same so why would it bring Infiniti down? Its just priced lower with a smaller engine. Lets not forget G37's probably already sell around this price range with discounts...................................

The car will sell. And it will not make your G37 any less of a car............................

I agree with this, Infinti needs something to compete with the 7-series and it would also be nice if they made a rocket something small like the 1-series. The Q56 is an SUV, they really need a car that is the flagship.

Is that really the reason why people buy the G37? I don’t think it’s that simple. There’s much more to the car than the engine (and HP), and I think a lower price point in combination with greater fuel economy is something that will bring more people into Infiniti showrooms and driving off the lot with a new G. There are lots of people who would be willing to trade some of that 330 HP for a little better fuel economy and a lower purchase price. Those are the people who will buy and appreciate a G25.
