awd on g37x

Ive had my g37x sedan for a little over a month now. last night while it was raining I was trying to get the awd to kick in during a couple launches from the stop light. I thought i read that the AWD light on the dash will flash when this happens so i was looking for it. i launched it twice on the wet pavement with the VDC off and I did not see the light come on. This thing just explodes off the line (as most of us know) and i find it hard to believe the awd was not in motion. Maybe the new 225 R17's really do have some serious rear drive grip on the wet pavement???

Funny looking in the rear view and seeing the headlights of cars barely visible after they were directly behind me at the light 4 seconds ago.

The light only comes on when there is an issue with the AWD system.

The AWD on your G is full time. The light only comes up when traction control kicks in when there's further slippage.

0-12 mph you are getting AWD so there is no peeling out and the tail will not step out. However, in the rain if you go above 12 mph with traction control off and punch it in a turn or something, you will get just as sideways as the RWD version so keep the VDC on.
