One thing to keep in mind. The Nav Screen in the 2010's is now higher res but the camera probably hasn't been upgraded yet. Might be a case of watch non HD TV on an HD TV...usually looks bad.
Actually, the camera on my 2010 G is noticeably higher res than the cam in my mother's 2010 M35. Night and day difference.
if you hate the camera now, wait till it rains....water drops get all over the camera and you cant see **** from the screen. always make sure to wipe it after a rain fall before you drive.
Congrats on the new car, it's beautiful. I agree about the lights and the camera. In the daytime the picture on the backup camera is ok, but does anyone notice that it looks much worse during the night... it's snowy, the pixels seems larger, and it's a bit blurry. Do you guys have that too, or it's just me?
i have it too - its snowy at night because its dark out, the camera doesnt have a light source/flash, so it has to turn on high gain so you could actually see whats behind your car instead of just seeing darkness.
I feel the same. My camera on my 07 g35 sedan was 10x better than on my 2010 g37. I figured maybe since my 07 backup cam was with the rarer tech package, and now for 2010 they are with all the navi packages they used a cheaper cam maybe.
I notice that the camera lens is different on 2010 and the 2007/2008. Not sure about 2009 (maybe it's just different between G35 and G37). Anyway, I know that on the newer models, the lens has some kind of cover over it so it is flat and the older ones is kind of round and sticking out.
Front license plate is required in New York. And its good to have it there, otherwise your front bumper get scratches and dents in no time (very common in New York City).
I don't know why the quality of the back camera matters? I only use it to not hit the car behind me when i park usually the beeps are enough to avoid that anyway.
