2010 White G37xS - Pic Inside

Just picked up my 10 g37xS sedan in white. Upgraded from 2008 altima 3.5 SE

The car is great however I don't like 2 things.

1) The way the lights look at night , HIDs look yellow and i dont like the orange turn signals

2) the rear view camera is blurry and not not realistic. my altima way had a way better backup cam

Has anyone upgraded just their hid bulbs ?
Do you guys also feel the same away about the camera or is mine defected?

changing out the hid's are very common, i made a thread about compaines in the exterior section that has good companies.

the rear view camera is very good for it's purpose; it's not there to watch blue-ray. if you think our camera is bad, go check out bmw back up camera; by far the worst

I think the backup cam looks pretty good. I'm not having anyone hold book pages up to it or anything, but it works fine to clearly see what's going on behind the car when I backup. Interesting that the image was sharper in your Altima, though...I would assume them to be the same. Are you certain there's no wax/sealant build up on your lense from dealer prep? Just a thought.

My wife's Chrysler backup cam is pathetic. I thought something was wrong with it because the image is so blurry, but this is a normal characteristic.

The bottom line is that they should only be glanced at anyway...they aren't intended to be a full substitute for mirrors and common sense.

Never heard anyone complain about the back up camera quality. Personal experience with other system (Audi, BMW, Lexus) is that our system is actually more clear. Try cleaning your lens. Lots of folks update the lights, it s common.

Check the camera lens on the back spoiler, it may be dirty.

I feel the same. My camera on my 07 g35 sedan was 10x better than on my 2010 g37. I figured maybe since my 07 backup cam was with the rarer tech package, and now for 2010 they are with all the navi packages they used a cheaper cam maybe.

I changed all the exterior lights on my 2010 g37xs except the headlights. They look yellow close while in park but frm a distance it was a ble/white mix. The xenons on my 08 g35x were the best stock lights to date.

The front end looks so much better!

I don't know why infiniti uses yellowish HID bulbs when the MAXIMA looks very white with some blue hue to it.

I got to have my uncles S550 for the day about a week ago. It was by far the worst camera i have ever seen.

One thing to keep in mind. The Nav Screen in the 2010's is now higher res but the camera probably hasn't been upgraded yet. Might be a case of watch non HD TV on an HD TV...usually looks bad.
