The sedan is quiter than the coupe?

I realized that my g37xS sedan is quieter than my friends coupe..., I find that a little funny because even the fx sound a lot like the coupes....

Anyway around this? just live with it? nothing I can do without changing parts right?

As far as I know the only way to change that is with mods! I love the sound of the sedan though.

or if you're trying to make your sedan louder then just mod it

You can go several routes. Get a cat-back, axle-back, or HFCs. I have the Tanabes on my 09 sedan and they sound good. A little louder than stock, but with a nice deep tone. I'm thinking about adding HFCs now to make it a tad louder. Just not sure how much louder it would get.

Are there any options that have a deeper sound, but not louder?

Mufflers, I'd imagine. I had some Vibrants (different model # that posted below) on my Maxima. Nice deep tone.

Vibrant Performance .

If you want it deeper but relatively quiet, get the Tanabe axleback. Simple bolt on. Unless you really pay attention, most people won't even notice the difference in volume. This is for the sedan though...Tanabe's on the couple are louder than on the sedan.

sedan exhaust is different than the coupe exhaust. in order to get the coupe exhaust you need to cut into your trunk.....although the exhausts are VERY similar (except for the way they are mounted)

the FX's have the same exhaust as the coupe due to the ability to mount the exhaust without a problem

I have been on the search for that coupe sound....but none of the exhausts i heard were close to it. adding Berk HFC with your stock exhaust will get you closer to your target.
