how many of you have followed the book about oil changes vs doing them on your own? it has been a little over three months of ownership and i have 2300 miles on it should i wait to the 3750 or get it changed cause its been over 3 months?

BTW, I've got 10,700 on my '09 and have had no problems.

what do u mean exactly by "driving it hard" my usual driving is city driving stop and go stuff and on the highway every once in awhile give it at little boot. but do not do much highway driving

I would change it now. I personally think you should change the break-in oil at 1K miles. For sure after 3 months I would change it.

my wife was driving it the first 2 months. She logs close to 30K per year right now, but now she is back in her Mazda for the daily grind of hauling 2 way too busy kids all over the damn planet.

I asked the same question to the Infiniti service person who called me this week. She said that the mileage mark is more important and that if i don't have 6000km by 3 months i can just wait to hit that first.
