Maybe your tranny is slipping or something when the VDC is on? If your mileage really differs that much with it on and off, I would take it in to get it looked at.

I don't have Sport or "X", just a RWD G37 with the 7AT. I've never driven it long enough in VDC off mode to see if my mileage increases. For safety reasons I prefer to keep it on, but if my mileage increased 4 MPG with it off, I would tend to leave it off more!

that's what it looks like so far.

I drove home today and saw 21. got 3 miles from my house w/ the VDC on and it was 18.2 mpg. turned it off and the last 3 miles went back to 19.9.... weird.....

that's about what we were getting w/ stock wheels. My 20s are a bit heavier (as are the wider tires) so now I'm getting about 21city, 28 hwy. Our 07 G got a couple miles less per gallon w/ 18" sport wheels.

Current 09 G is Journey w/ Premium, no Tech pkg.
