Gum on keys...

Hey guys, what's up? Last night it was a friends bday celebration and I had my keys in my pocket along with a pack of gum, and I have no idea what happened, but a piece must have slipped out, and between the sweat in my pocket and whatever else...My whole keys are covered in gum, it's really nasty and STICKY! The whole key fob is covered, and all my house keys, key chains, etc. Whats the best/safest way to remove it easily? I can sorta of pick it off, but doesn't seem to really get it off efficiently. I figured I'd ask her first, before doing anything stupid. I learned never to keep gum in my pocket again.

You can pop the fob apart, and then just clean the plastic without damaging the circuitry inside. Try rubbing alcohol or goo gone.

Try taking out the bat and freezing it, (not the bat) take the gum off then let it warm up and put the bat back in. It does work on other items.

if you want to clean it, take out the guts first, then rub the case with peanut butter. the peanut butter will break down the gum and then you can wipe it down with a paper towel. it's what people use to get gum out of hair.

just take it apart. Follow instructions for the battery removal, separate the circuit board and use whatever you want to clean it.
