To Sport or not to Sport
Trading in my '06 G35 for an '09 G37 this week. I have two options:
1) Black on Black Prem/Navigation
2) Black on Gray Prem/Navigaton/Sport
Both are 39 mo. leases with 18k a year. I much prefer the black interior but don't want to have to give up the Sport option. 1st lease is in the $550 range. 2nd lease is more around $600 plus I'll have to pay an extra $1000 to have the vehicle shipped in from out of state.
Is the Sport really worth it? My current vehicle has been modded with 350Z springs and shocks, Stillen sways and Richie strut bar so handling is important to me but I don't see why I couldn't just mod this new vehicle the same way and then return it to stock before I return it. The extra $1000 alone would most likely cover springs/sways/strut bar.
Your thoughts?

$50 x 39 months = $1950 + 1000 delivery = almost $3,000. Do your own math.
If it was me, I would get the Sport package (as long as its a RWD car). The breaks and suspension alone are worth it + you are getting tighter steering. However, in my opinion, they are ripping you off. Overpaying $3k on a lease is ridiculous. That's like $75 a month total. For that kind of money you can get a 335i.
I know some Infiniti dealers act like their cars are made of gold, but at those prices, I seriosly doubt that those 2 cars are your only options. Look around and find a willing dealer, don't let them feed you a car you don;t want.

The only thing that has me wanting the Sport package even after I do the mods is the bigger brake package. I don't mind having smaller rims with thicker tires since the wear will last a little longer. This is the car I want and a dealer and new car sales manager that I trust but I appreciate your opinion on the lease deal.
Ivan, I definitely prefer the Black over the Gray. I had Wheat the first time around and it definitely did not wear well.
As the new owner of a G37xS, I've already voted with my wallet. I understand your wish to mod your G37S, but the Sport brake package alone is worth the deal. Easier to modulate at speed and with much higher heat sink capability for track use or extended high speed driving. IMHO the black/stone interior breaks up the uniform color of the interior and adds a measure of visual lightness to the package.

THats why I asked how far you plan on modding her

For the extra $3g's I'm going to have to pay, is it worth it?
I didn't.
Do you dirve so fast or crazy that you need bigger brakes? If not get the non sport.
I doubt anyone can truely tell the difference in the brakes if they don't track their cars.

Not really bro, I have the sport, 900 better coils and shocks than the sport, 250 better sways than the sport, the brakes is your only salvation but really? You can get a used set for under 2k
Sport and black int. were two things I insisted on. Actually, I wanted blue slate, black interior, sport, nav and prem. My dealer had to have it shipped in from another dealer. Had to wait a few days, but I got exactly what I wanted. Any dealer should be able to do this for you; get the car you want. And yes, sport is a must-have with this car. Did you test drive them?
