Nasty rattle in Dash..

Hey guys,

I've got a new to me rattle. I had the rear deck rattle...and cured it. Had the headliner rattle above the steering wheel and took care of that. Just when I thought I was all safe...i have this...semi-metalic rattle happeining in the front passenger corner. It almost sounds like its comming from where the air bag would sit. Its NOT the glove box. I've held that while the car was in motion and it wasn't it.

Any ideas. I have no idea how to cure this.

I don't want to take it back to the dealer b/c they *just* fixed my car from the bone head mistake I made (search posts).

Plus, rattles and dealers don't mix.

Help? Can anyone confirm?

I have a rattle from somewhere near the front of the passenger door to the corner of the dash on that side. Also a rattle in the instrument cluster cowl. And a rattle in both seatbelt adjusters (somewhere inside of them).

Stop the presses!

I figured out what it was. Its the washi trim above the gove box door. Its more a fast squeaking than a rattle. Now...how to fix it. HMM. My car is really very quiet besides this so I'm very happy to find it out.

I've got a creak in the dash that occurs when going over some (not all) bumps but only when the temperature is below 40 degrees and more often when the temperature is below 32 degrees. I've wedged something between the dash and windshield and it has no effect. Same deal with the defroster vents. I'll check the washi trim, but it sounds further up and in the dash, not that far right, more centered, maybe in the cowl.

A similar thing happened with my 03 Maxima, but it creaked nearly all the time and a "windshield chock" fixed it.
