Dealer lip spoiler install
If all your seeing is a slight gap(about the thickness of a credit card) around the very outter edges, like 2 to 3 inches, it's what I've got on mine and what I've seen on the factory installed ones. Like I mentioned before the mounting tape doesn't run all the way to the ends and the rubber/foam strip is there to prevent the edge of the spoiler from rubbing on the painted surface of the truck deck.
Now if the rubber/foam strip is protruding or sticking out of that gap something could be wrong. Also the ends should not be loose, as mine are very snug.
I would check your local dealers lot and look for one or some that came installed from the factory and compare, then if you see something wrong you can point it out to them.

Should look like this:

That just looks wrong, the adhesive is not sticking at the outer edge. I have the coupe (different I know) with a factory installed spoiler the double side tape they use is a different color (dark grey) expands a little more so the edges stick.
I still think its weird that you gotta drill a bunch of holes to put this thing on. It looks greatm but couldn't they just use the same holes for the chrome thing to hold it?
If this is like this on multiple dealer installs from around the country, then I'd say it's not the installer at fault, but the way it's designed. Mine doesn't move at all and is not loose. This is also a very up close macro shot. It's almost like zooming in on a small nose hair in the back of your nose.

One can go crazy paying too much attention to little cracks on the back end of cars and things.
Looks good to me.
