So are you Sedan guys adding power mods?

I got a Xs, so obviously the 7AT and the car is fast...no doubt. Just wondering what guys were doing here. I WAS thinking about the cobb flash (when it's available...which should be soon) and HFC's. But now i see some dyno's where cars made more power with mods and the stock ecu.
Dunno...just wondering.

I have an AccessPort tuned by Cobb (I am not using an off-the-shelf map).
I plan on adding K&N drop-in filters, an exhaust and HFC, and re-tuning. That is it for me. I really prefer suspension and braking mods, and I am working on those now. I have Eibach springs, but I am going to coilovers (probably Tein SS-P's), and upgrading the pads, rotors, lines, and fluid before I add any other power mods.
The AccessPort was a good deal, so I picked it up first.

Cobb claims 36 hp /20-30 lbs tq with catback/hfc's and their tune....that's good enough for me - I will also take a more responsive tranny and throttle as well, and I'd be fine. I don't have to be the fastest on the block, just fast enough to beat my old G8 GT buddies.
yeah you need to get a few breathing mods before getting the Cobb AP otherwise you won't notice much gains.. For maximum gains, you'd need CAI + Test Pipes + Decent Catback + Crank Pulley (yes they make a small difference) + Custom tune
Then you're pretty much left with Forced Induction

^^^see, now everybody keeps telling me to get a dry nitrous shot, but to me, that's like a 'cheat' - And I don't mean to insult the nitrous guys, but I want everyday power that is there all the time, not a special magic nightrider gofast button. So my plan is a good catback, hfcs, and the cobb tune. And a tranny tune if I can find anyone who does them. I'm thinking of a cai, but I have read that the stock CAI breathes great, and that people have actually seen a reduction in power with some aftermarket CAIs. Don't want that to happen. Also, I thought that the Cobb's directions explicitly state that the stage 2 and 2+ are for stock CAIs only....
Of course, I'd looooove to get a bigger throotle body, cams, cylinder heads, and other internals. For 6 to 10k you can get twin turbos and get 450-500 whp. I couldn't even imagine what that'd be like.

No plans for me unless you consider a set of aftermarket mufflers a power mod. I don't. This motor is pretty much tapped out in N/A form and I knew that going in. It's got good power for street car. I consider anything under 14 seconds in the 1/4 mile pretty quick by my standards.

I cannot tell. I have listened to abotu 100 clips of different exhausts and I am still confused. I guess I will need few months to figure out what mods and when. Very concerned with rasp. Want the power, but I am unsure if I want someone 3 miles away to tell I just hit my gass pedal. You couple this with the limited availability of mods for the Sedans and it's enough to make you drink. Oh well, I'll take that reason.
