Its your car. Drive it however you want but i find it very difficult to not floor it with this car. Its like that energizer bunny, its just keeps pulling and pulling.
Just remember to put it in DS, then go for it. I tend to floor it multiple times a day to get around idiots that don't know how to get out of the left lane.
Oh I have never put it into DS mode before. Do I just push the shifter to the left? What difference does it make? Is it bad to floor it without DS mode on? Also when I reach my crusing speed do I turn DS mode off?

yes, just push the shifter to the left and dont touch it. If you shift it up or down when to the left it will become 'manual' so just to the left and leave it. I drive this way for the most part, mostly because it keeps rpms a bit higher so it sounds better especially when cruising at ~40mph then hitting the gas.
On a side note I often leave it in DS mode on the highway and the rpm stays in the 4k+ range..should I not do this?
i floor my car everywhere i go i have the worst gas mileage haha
yeah on the sticker of the car it says 18 and 24 city/hwy something like that the range of the city is 15 to 21... i have yet til this day seen an average of above 14.5 mpg
I give my car full throttle every single time I drive it, and it also sees redline at least a few times a day as well. Modern engines that are taken care of can be abused quite a bit and still remain strong, good running engines that go for upwards of 150k with no serious problems.
I floor it every chance I get, which isn't nearly often enough in Northern Virginia traffic. My wife giggles like we're teenagers again. It's awesome.
Every so often, if I'm really lucky on my way to work, the long, windy entrance ramp I take onto the Fairfax County Parkway will be vacant except for me. I live for those days...
