X Sedans Rusting normal?

I took a look underneath my car for the first time since getting her 2 weeks ago and I saw some of the parts rusting already. Can anyone confirm if this is normal? The parts I see the most rust are the front and rear axles, exhaust hangers, and front tie rods. It has been raining here in PA for the past week, but this seem too premature. Can you guys take a look at your cars?

See pics:

Must be the weather that does that. It does not look attractive at all. I was under my car yesterday and I didn't see none of that.

yea, that doesn't look normal man, i've seen cars that are 5 years old that are in better condition than that....see if u can wipe it off..maybe it's just a layer sitting ontop...those parts shouldn't rust that easily...

WOW! On my coupe there isn't rust that compares to those pics. There are some hooks and other small parts with a little bit of browning but not on that level.

it's pretty weird tho....if u look at the exhaust hanger pic...u can see the same crap on his undercoating on the right hand side of the picture....it almost looks like it's some sort of road grim that he drove over and got it all over....maybe the rain there is different?

Thanks for checking guys..

I just stopped by the dealer today to pickup my plates and registration... I took a look at another G and and noticed the same rusting action. I'm in the Philadelphia area and we've been getting rain for a week straight but I would think that these parts shouldn't be rusting already. I did try to touch it and it is dry and can't be wiped off just like rust. (I didn't try to scrape at it.) I'll wait for more feedback from you guys before I bring in my car for the service guys to take a look.

Anyway, if anyone else from the northeast region can check their rides, I would appreciate it..

I honestly wouldn't give it a second thought!

Maybe if you lived in the Tuscon and it hasn't rained in 6 months...then it would not have a coating of rust. BUT...it rains in like 98% of the US. Rust will happen...right away on these parts. The parts are made to last a long...LONG time..rust and all. I'm sure its normal...and totally fine.

I just did a google image search of G37 exhausts and found some pictures that are easing my worries a little. I see rusting in the same spot in these pics:

I installed my Stillen Exhaust today and noticed rust in pretty much the exact same places as you did. So, I think it's a normal thing. Plus, I'm in NC where cars don't rust near as easily as they do up north.
