Future G37Xs owner but a little confused...

I am a little confused on what the salesman at the local dealer told me last week. But first a little history..

A few weeks ago I went into the Infiniti dealer and told him what I am looking for :
G37Xs Sedan
Black on Black, Premium, Sport, Nav. Raise Rear Spoiler, Front Chin Spoiler, Midnight Black Grille, Splash guards, Impact Sensor

He said he had something very similar so I drove it.. It drove terrible.. Really bad downshifts and a really bad vibration going up hills at 25 to 30 mph. I told him I didn't like the car and that I needed to do a little more research.
Two weeks later, after reading more about the G37 on this forum I went back for another test drive with a different car.. and loved it. So I decided the G37Xs was it.. I gave him the same list of features and he said he would look around but mentioned that a lot of these features are installed at port.. (this was something I never heard before) I said OK. Well a week or so passed then he called and said he could not find anything that matched my exact requirements.. So I started removing options.. then he found one that is due into his store like this

G37Xs Sedan
Black on Black, Premium, Sport, Nav. Splash guards.

He said after they get it in, they would add the spoilers but could not do the Impact Sensor... I said OK and put down a $1000 Refundable deposit. Then today I remembered what he said about most options being installed at the port.. I also saw a post from a guy named Mike.. who said this about some options "They *CAN* be dealer installed, but they are technically portside options. "..

So here's where I am confused.. (BTW the car I am getting is supposedly still on the boat on it's way over here) I asked the salesman again.. why can't I just have the missing options installed at port when the car gets there... he just replied (through email).. "we can add them here at the store".

Questions:
Does the dealer make less money on a car when the options are installed at port?
Am I wrong for asking to have the options installed at the port?
Why wouldn't he just let the port set the car up exactly the way I want then he would have a truly happy customer.. I don't get it?
I am in St., Louis MO. and he says the car is not due here till June 12.. if that is true..then I would guess the car is not at port yet. I am really confused.. This guy has been nice for the most part, but i cannot understand what his angle is, or if he really has one at all.

Any and all comments welcomed.

Long time reader, first time poster (sorry for the long post)

My understanding is "port installed options" means dealer installed. If you think about this, the cars come in to a "port" where they're unloaded and stored until loaded onto carriers for final destination. I've seen other discussions where it's implied that car companies have facilities at the port to add these options, but I wonder if that's the case. Also, you'd probably want a local dealer to do it in case there are any problems.

However, installing any of these options at the dealer will cost you more than if they were ordered on the car, because the dealer has to charge you for the part PLUS the installation labor. For example, the Sport Chin Spoiler would cost $490 if ordered on the car ($400 invoice) but is listed on the dealer accessory list at $425 without labor.

port installed options are simple as that ... installed at the port.... some are able to be installed at the factory. when we install it at the dealership, it does cost more due to the labor costs.

So I talked to the guy today.. he said that they "can not request an inbound car to have the options installed at the port". I think they ordered this car a while back as is...I guess that sounds right .. either way I am getting a sweeeet car in just over a month..... Hey guys thanks for the responses..

Exactly what he said.

The dealer CAN install the minor options (not packages), but it will always cost more than having it ordered with the options, due to labor, and possibly paint depending on the part.
