Picture Request + Inquiry
I have been told that my dealership that a connection with a ipod is not availabe on any car they offer. IS that even possible coz i thot it was a standard feature,,, can any1 show me a picture of the connection and where is it located?? Thanks
is ipod part of the nav package? do you have that? mine came with an ipod cable and all the connections in the center console. open yours up and they should be right there.
We have one option in my country which is a blend of all the options availables.. nav + bluetooth + afs + cruise control + sport suspension.....
The connection i saw in the central console is the RCA jack (component - red-yellow-white)
How does the connection look like tho? so i can assure its presence, or is it just a wire that we connect to the ipod?

It comes with the Premium package in the US.
It is a 8-10 pin plug (I would say it is similar to a molex style connector). If you only have RCA jacks, you don't have it. This is a proprietary connection Infiniti uses (it is based on Firewire).

Dear Ridoor,
The option for iPOD integration comes with a "Premium Package" option. The additional "Navigation Package" would replace your 6-disc-in-dash-changer to a 9.3GB Music Box hard drive with CompactFlash slot (also rearview camera included).
You have to check if your country's dealership offers these options. At least the Interface system for iPOD is included in the "premium package" in North American dealerships.
As jran76 mentioned, the cord is a 8-10 pin plug.
Please click (or paste) on the link below which would bring up the online pdf file of the owner's manual. Upload the pdf file of the Infiniti G37 Owner's Manual. Look at the table of contents under chapter 4 & an illustration of the iPOD inrface cable is available for viewing.

I hope this helps.

I think this Music box is in the cars available.. What are the CF cards/slot used for?? is there like a usb slot? Ie, how can I transfer songs to the CF card ??? AND, what are the uses of the aux slot in the car (the RCA jacks)?
Finally to sum things up; can i use either the CF slot or the AUX jacks to play music rather than using the old fashioned CD's...
These are the features mentioned on my dealers website:
Ten-speaker Bose® Premium Audio System with AM/FM, 6CD changer, MP3 playback capability and audio auxiliary input
Dual in-glass diversity antennas. The radio tuner compares the signal strength of both antennas and automatically selects the strongest signal
Speed sensitive volume control

I believe the AUX ports only work when the car is not moving.
Your best option would be to burn MP3 CDs. That would allow you to put a lot of songs on a single CD.
No music Box, No ipod cable.. is that even possible =0 :''(!!!!!! the car almost costs dam $45k!!!!! Nav is included tho... making the possiblity to have the the Music Box.. am i right?
