Is there a difference in sound between coupe and sedan.

If yes where is this difference, and is it easy to modify the sedan sound to match the coupe sound.

I find the g37 sedan sound a bit muted compare to g35 sedan

 

coupe has a louder exhaust sound... ie, longer intake pipe

 

is it difficult and expensive to make this modification

 

I think an aftermarket intake & exhaust will solve that prolem.

 

cut about an inch of piping before the mufflers....you'll love it from there on

why do you care about the sound anyways... the sedan can smoke the coupe anytime...

i think the made the coupe louder since it's a "sports coupe" and the target market are people who want have a more "sportier" car than the sedan. that's why they tone down the sedan a bit, but you can still hear the VQ... it's just a bit softer

 

Isn't the sedan lighter than the coupe? Ironically.

 

Sedan = 3703lb (6MT)
Coupe = 3616lb (6MT)

The coupe is heavier bc of the reinforcement in the doors and body....
