Well with only 1,305 miles on my G purchased not even a month ago I went over to the Motorgen meet in Downey at Racer's Edge Tuning and strapped the car to their Dynojet. Great group of guys by the way. I was the only G there and I think the only import at the time, amongst mostly Mustangs and Camaros.

After hooking the car up it took them a second to find the coils and then when Greg from RET started he told me the DIC said "No key". I forgot to take it out of my pocket. The first run something spiked the dyno so the horsepower didn't finish off but the torque registered correctly. The second and third runs were pretty consistent though. Looks like I'm loosing about 20% through the 7AT as expected.

For some reason on paper the dyno only graphs to just over 6,250 rpms but I watched the tach go to 7,250? The only thing I can figure it was set up for the bigger motors that don't rev that high.

Anyway it was a good experience. A video link of the runs will be posted within a week. One more baseline will be @ Cali Speedway on the 7th down the strip and then I will be ready to mod. Anyone have any opinions or feedback regarding this graph let me know, I'm interested to see where I'm at among the group.

hmm i think you should see more power revving up to 7k rpm..according to the advertised numbers that is..

 

Look how flat that torque curve is. That's impressive. That variable valve lift works rather well.

wouldn't the numbers be similar to the G37 Coupe's?

Also other videos of the new 370z put down similar numbers to the G37 Coupe. We all know that the new Z will no doubt win for speed in any category due to the weight advantage of over 300lbs. 3280lbs.

So 264 Hp vs. 287 Hp for the same exact engine.. I don't think those numbers are correct. The thing is my buddy owns a G37 coupe. First impresion is, the sedan feels a lot quicker. It does weigh, correct me if I'm wrong, a good 50bs lighter than the coupe.
Sedan weighs in at approximately 3600lbs. give or take 10lbs whether you have sport or journey. But when I drove the G37 Coupe, it felt heavy and it didn't seem to really impress me. I'm not being biased or anything cause I don't own either. But the Sedan felt extremely quick and I loved how you feel it kick you back on your seat at WOT.

Just to be clear, my car was dynoed (is that a word?) in 5th gear which is 1:1 for the 7AT. I have been reading a lot over the last few months and noticed that many people have no idea what gear they should be or have previously ran in. This brings me to the conclusion that some of the numbers floating around out there are clearly misleading. Here is a ratio chart from one of the members:
