Chips!
Anyone else notice paint chips right in front of the rear wheel? I would think the front bumper would be more prone to this. I have 5k miles with zero chips on the bumper but more on the side, in front of the rear wheels......

Hmmm, not sure then, Maybe the stock ones aren't big enough, I know evos and STIs had this problem because of the sticky compound of their tires and they needed rally type splash guards to stop the rocks from hitting the car.

I am in the same boat as you. 6K miles, only had the car for 2 months and it is chipped very bad in front of the wheels. Almost like it is sand blasted! I have called my dealer twice about the unacceptable paint quality on this car. I drove an 05 Mustang GT for 4 years and put 110K miles on it and it didnt look nearly this bad the day I sold it! Of course, no call back from the dealer yet, not that they will do anything about it.

^^^I imagine it will take some kind of class action suit for Infiniti and its dealers to do anything about it. Isn't that what had to happen before it owned up to how quick the brake rotors wore out on the G35's.

Infiniti was probably aware of the issue during the design phase, but didn't do enough to address it. Ever notice the raised square on the lower front side of the rear fender? Looks like it's a body colored 3M guard type of panel. Just seems a bit too small.
