Take a look at the link below. Not only a G35 roadster, but a station wagon too.
That site looks a little dated ... it mentions a convertible version of the g35 in "late 2005". We know that didn't happen ... so who knows if a wagon or convertible will make it to the line up with this generation model. My bet is probably not since it's already near the end of its product cycle. The next gen however ... this would be very interesting.
As in BMW tradition, I'm sure Infiniti will take some cues from the master of making specialty niches (BMW) and release the sedan / coupe first, then the wagon or convertible the following year. Hopefully, they will have a 'halo car' high performance model soon afterwards. (Like a G37-R model, or something to that effect ...)
from word of mouth from someone high up there they are working on a convertible hardtop currently. infiniti just wants to create a perfect vehicle because the last convertible back in the 90's did not sell well.
Had an oil change done yesterday and the Infiniti dealership was quick to comment on the convertible being released within 6-12 months of the new coupe....
Even if it's true, they should forget about it if it isn't a hardtop convertible . . . I actually would pick a G35 coupe with a panorama roof over a hardtop convertible, I prefer to have the sloping roof line, plus I still get trunk space.
I totally agree, not sure if the convertible is my taste. I personally think the convertible version of the 350Z is hideous.
