I recently just bought a 2014 Infiniti Q60 7AT with 94k on the odometer. It runs great an old couple had before I got it. Is there anything I need to be ready to replace in the next 5k-10k. Is there any failure points on this model? I plan on modding it to be a fun daily a very track lite car. Anything would help thanks.
1. Heater Hose connector- ASAP (you can do this as part of your coolant flush/fill)i.
2. Sunroof drains- ASAP
I know many will say "if the sunroof drain ain't leaking leave it alone," but IMO this is one of those issues that require a proactive stance. Like the heater hose, it is a known issue that willrear its head at some point.
Everything else like filters, plugs, belt, hoses, and fluids are general maintenance items for these cars. I would plan on knocking all of that out within the next 6k miles. After that, once you establish your maintenance schedule you should be good to go for many miles.

I test my sunroof drains a couple times a year by opening the roof and pouring water down both sides then checking for a puddle of corresponding size on both sides of the firewall. I have some of the larger “new and improved” drains, but have never installed them. I have never parked the car outside for long periods of time, and I rarely open the sunroof, so maybe that’s why I’ve been fortunate.
Heater hose connector is not an if, it’s a when. Occurs across many Nissan models, so change that thing asap. There are so many threads here and on Reddit based on this issue that I’d need exponential form to count them.
Any type of tracking of the car requires additional oil and transmission coolers. Both get an extremely hot just DD in the summer, which is why Nissan added an oil OEM cooler to the Z.
