Hi, hoping anyone can help me here, was changing my power steering pump cuz my mechanic said it was leaking and needed a replacement, and found this broken cable, i cleaned the cable a bit, but by the look of it, ive probably been driving like this for some time, i haven't felt anything different, could that be the reason the pump was leaking and how come i haven't felt anything weird? does anyone know whats the part number? btw, i didnt feel any play, pump looks fine.. Thanks!
Can you take a picture of where the cable connects? I tried to find it on my car, but cannot get to the alternator easily without taking things apart. Guessing its a sensor of some sort, but if that was the case, I'm surprised a CEL wasn't triggered. Looks like one of the 3 pins is missing.
I put everything together already, now is foaming, overflowing, shaking and making noises, I think air is getting in, i didn't replace the washers since i didn't want to replace the pump before knowing what that cable was, so i just put the old ones.. that cable goes to the the end of the hard pressure line that connects to the pump, the blue circle is the pump, the red is the hard pressure line with the washers that connects to the pump blue circle, indeed looking some more videos is a pressure sensor.. but yeah, no CEL
