Car starts but sometimes dash light don't work and car stuck in park

Hi, I have an Infiniti g37 coupe 2008 car, There was a water leak in the car recently and mold started growing in the car (like a lot) because the car wasn't used for like over a week.

Anyways, after I got the car dried and cleaned, every morning when I start the car, the dash lights won't come on and the car will be stuck in park and the ac and radio wont work as well. I have to keep starting the car multiple times and only when the dash light come on then I will be able to shift the gear out of park.

Does anyone know what is causing this intermitent problem?

Thanks for any help on this.

Sorry to hear this. Water intrusion is insidious and may have damaged the critical electronic parts in your G. When you dried and cleaned the interior, did you check all the electrical connections into the ECM and sensors? This why flooded cars get totaled, as there's no way to get inside the components to get them back to being dry and functional again.

Your BCM got wet. It's either fried, or, put it in some rice, OR, put DampRid in your passenger seat floor area and dry it all out with a hair dryer and see if that works. (worked for me)
