2013 G37S Manual.
Been running my G37 for about 40k miles now(4years), and I have replaced the Air Mass Sensors twice. Any thoughts on other things that might be causing this? Yes I have been using the Amazon Air Mass Sensors. Do I need to get the OEM one's or do you thing their might be other things going on. TIA So much fun to drive
What prompted you to change the MAF's?
I only ask because i had a wiring gremlin that haunted me for years in that the car would randomly go into limp mode and call out the MAF on the passenger side. I would pull it, clean it, reinstall it and was good to go until the next time i had problems. i then began swapping in MAF sensors, both OEM and AutoZone, but it never fixed it, In the end, through some wiring troubleshooting, i found there was a wiring issue on the passenger side, so i cut the harness back and installed a pigtail with connector and havent has any problems since. Based on that, and montoring MAF parameters, i noticed that there was a small split in airflow when i had an OEM on one side and AZ on the other. Not enough to casue troubles though, just a few % points difference.
In my case the car will not start. I unplug the sensor and car starts and runs at 3000 rpm for a few seconds and then shuts off. I've replaced sensor three time. Have not figured if its the left or right.
Is there an associated CEL? If so, have you checked the codes? Miht help narrow down the issue.
Yes, code P0133
We have detected an issue related to the intake, air temperature sensor circuit high. This issue may have a critical impact on your vehicles health. If realtor could be pie check and replace if needed or defective sensor.
Hmm, P0133 doesnt have much detail in the FSM, but it is related to O2 sensor-1 (A/F Sensor) Bank-1 (passenger side sensor - located before or in front of the cats).

I just happened to watch a Scotty Kilmer video yesterday and he said to always use OEM sensors. Don't know if that's your problem or not though.

Clean coupe BTW!
i have a 2013 sedan and one day it randomly went limp and would struggle to accelerate at all with little to no throttle response and then threw a P010B (MAF) light on and will now sometimes just randomly go limp can you go deeper into your wiring issue and how you fixed it it would be very helpful 🙏
I had limp mode on and off for years with the same MAF code each time.
When it happend I would clean the sensor and it seemed to work, but then fail again. I also tried replacing MAF sensors but still didnt fix it.
I bought a specialized cable from Amazon that let me swap the wiring, so that number 1 sensor was connected to number 2 car wiring and 2 to 1.
Limp mode and the same code happened again on the same side which confirmed a wiring problem.
I chopped up the cable into a pigtail of sorts then cut off the cars MAF connector and spliced in with the pigtail.
it hasn't failed for years so there was so something wrong with the car's connector.
you could start by cleaning the MAF sensors or replacing them. There are videos on YouTube that show how to do thay.
